The HealthyHer.™ Mind and Body Program

The Emotional Toolkit Every Girl Needs

Helping girls and young women build lifelong skills for
self-awareness, resilience, and emotional wellness.

Most Girls Are Navigating Their Emotions Without Much Guidance

School pressure. Friendship drama. Emotions that come (seemingly) out of nowhere. Growing up as a girl today is a lot, and most girls are navigating it without a roadmap.

HealthyHer.™ changes that. Because when a girl understands herself, everything else gets a little easier.

Our HealthyHer.™ Team

  • Tayla Hostetter

    Intern

Hi! I’m Tayla, the Graphic Design Intern for Mental Health Rewired. I’m currently a full-time college student with a passion for creativity and connecting with others through art and design. I especially love photography, visual storytelling, and creating content that feels genuine and uplifting. When I’m not designing, you can usually find me spending with my husky and husband, working on creative projects, or finding inspiration in everyday moments. I’m excited to be part of Mental Health Rewired and to help create a positive and encouraging space for others!

    Stretch the Stress

Hi! I’m Heather, a wife and mom, 500-hour trained yoga teacher and Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. My journey with yoga began at age of 18 - a time of discovery in life where there is still so much to learn. After earning a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and working through college in group exercise, teaching yoga and other classes became both a job and a form of therapy. To me, movement is medicine for the body and the mind, and one of the greatest forms of self-expression that evolves with you over time. I am excited to join HealthyHer for the summer and help young girls learn some of the things I wished I had known at a younger age.

    Dance It Out

Hi! I’m Tammy, my love for dance started at age 6 and has carried me through more than 18 years of training in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Pointe at Floyd Ward School of Dance and Roanoke Ballet Theatre. I went on to found and lead Red Shoes Dance Academy, directing its award-winning performance company, teaching master classes at Longwood University, and even seeing her choreography performed at Walt Disney World. Today, I teach dance at Compass Academy in Bedford, Virginia, and I’m thrilled to bring my passion to HealthyHer — inspiring young women and girls to enjoy dance, embrace life, and love themselves.

The Skills Girls Build Today Shape Who They Become Tomorrow

Girls who develop these skills early don't just cope better, they live differently:

She'll handle hard things.

From stress, conflict, and setbacks, she'll have real tools to navigate them with confidence instead of shutting down or spiraling.

She'll know herself.

When emotions show up, she'll understand what they're telling her instead of being overwhelmed by them.

She'll trust herself.

With stronger self-awareness comes stronger decision-making. She'll move through life with a clearer sense of who she is and what she needs.

Here to Help Girls Know Themselves Better

Kelly Pittman is a Licensed Resident in Counseling with a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health who believes that understanding yourself is one of the most powerful things a girl can develop. With a background working with adolescents navigating anxiety, stress, and life transitions, Kelly created HealthyHer.™ because she knows firsthand how much it matters, and how rarely girls get the guidance they deserve.

Understanding Emotions Is a Skill. Here's How We Teach It.

HealthyHer.™ combines structured emotional education with personalized coaching to help girls understand how their thoughts, emotions, and body work together. Every tool, every lesson, and every conversation is designed to build skills girls will carry long after the program ends.

Apply for a Sponsored Spot

If cost is a barrier to enrolling in HealthyHer.™, we want to hear from you. Sponsored spots are available on a limited basis thanks to the generosity of our community partners.

  • HealthyHer.™ is designed for girls ages 8–16, with one-on-one coaching available for young women up to age 21. Programs are tailored to meet girls where they are developmentally.

  • No. HealthyHer.™ is an emotional education and coaching program, not clinical therapy or mental health treatment. It's designed to give girls practical tools for self-awareness and emotional wellness before challenges escalate.

  • Not at all. HealthyHer.™ is preventative by design. Girls don't need to be in crisis to benefit. In fact, the earlier they develop these skills, the more equipped they'll be to handle whatever comes their way.

  • The Mind and Body Program is a great starting point, but it's not required. Some girls jump straight into one-on-one coaching depending on their needs. Not sure which is right? That's exactly what the free discovery call is for.

  • That's up to you. HealthyHer.™ is designed to empower girls directly, but parental involvement is always welcome. We can talk through what feels right for your family on the discovery call.
